The Rise of Comedy Music

When people think of music, they tend to think of songs you would probably hear on mainstream radio. However, places such as social media, are now shining a light on different genres of music, in particularly comedy. While parodies have been around for years, YouTuber Adam Ray is now  making comedy music as well as his usual funny YouTube videos, and his fanbase seems to be growing from it! With over 118,000 subscribers on YouTube and over 25,000 followers on Twitter, Adam almost appears to be the new face of comedy music. Releasing tracks such as The F**kboy Song and The Petty Song, fans are calling his songs "funny and relatable" as well as "iconic". When asking Adam's fans on Twitter what it is that they like about his songs, the most common reply was talking about how relatable he is. @saheeena said "Legit writes the most relatable songs", while @adraybae tweeted saying "they speak to me on a level not even myself can".
While this might not be the sort of music that I would usually download and listen to, I do think Adam has a talent for songwriting and managing to make the listener smile no matter what mood they're in. Therefore, even if comedy music and parodies aren't your cup of tea, I would still urge anyone reading this to go and listen to Adam Ray.
