2017 BRIT Award performer predictions!

3/1/2017

Next month the 2017 BRIT Awards are set to take place at London’s iconic O2 Arena. This annual event is one of the biggest nights in music, with some of the biggest names in music industry attending the event. This leads to the big question…who will be performing? No names have officially been announced yet, so I thought I would make my predictions on who I think will be taking the stage.

Remember, these are just predictions, any official names will be announced by the BRIT Awards themselves.
  • Robbie Williams - Robbie recently received the BRITS Icon Award and even did a one off gig with the BRITS to celebrate, so he would definitely be an excellent man to close the show.
  • Lady Gaga – Gaga last performed at the BRIT Awards in 2010, and with the release of her latest album Joanne, the 2017 awards would be the perfect stage to promote her latest single Million Reasons.
  • Clean Bandit – Clean Bandit have had one of the biggest songs of the year with Rockabye featuring Anne-Marie and Sean Paul, so I think performing the song live at the BRITS would be the perfect way to celebrate the song’s success.
  • Ed Sheeran – Ed Sheeran has finally announced that he is releasing new music after his break! And there would be no better way to not only celebrate his comeback, but to promote the new single by singing it live at the BRITS.
  • Bruno Mars – Another one who has returned from his break is Bruno Mars, as he has finally released his new album 24K Magic. This means that the BRIT Award stage would be the perfect place to welcome him back.
  • Little Mix – Little Mix are one of the biggest girl bands in the world, and again had a lot of success in 2016. Although they did perform at last year’s awards, I think they could be asked to come back and do another iconic performance.
  • Drake – While Drake did appear on stage at the 2016 BRIT Awards, this was as a feature during Rihanna’s performance of Work. 2016 was a big year for Drake, as it was announced that he was the most streamed artist of 2016. Therefore I imagine that he is a strong contender to perform at the show.

As the official names start to be announced, I’m excited to see how many of these predictions are correct!
